Scooter FAQ
I have a schwinn electric scooter that i've had for a while now. But see my brake won't work anymore. What could be wrong? and how much would it usually cost to repair this malfunctioning brake?
i have a electric scooter and it has a metal frame, and air filled wheels which from what i looked at is what i need. i have a 25 cc weed wacker engine and planing on putting it on the scooter. what i need help with is how do i find a centrifugal clutch for it? and also how should i mount the engine to the scooter? step by step instructions would help a lot for mounting the engine, thanks.
my right leg is paralyised and the doctors aren't really sure why. I have been using forearm crutches for the past 4 months and do quite well. but I also get tired like any human being. I am only 18. I have lots of upperbody strength because of my history as a competive swimmer. I am getting a electric scooter for longer trips (as I am very active) but I'd also like a wheelchair that I can use for shorter trips to stay active without using my legs. I have been shopping on craigslist and I have found a chair in my area for the price I am will to pay, it has everything I need, the only issue is it has a 16" seat. I know 18 is normal. I am a little on the larger side because of hormone inbalances. but I am a shorter person only 5'2. I have measured a 17in peice of paper and can sit on that confortably. my basic question is this. Do you think I can get away with a 16" seat confortably? thanks
I am totally new to scooters. I just bought my first one a few days ago, 3 or 4 days ago if it makes a difference.
It is a 2008 49cc Keeway F-Act. I haven't ridden it in the past two days and just went outside just to crank it up and ride around the apartment complex a little bit just to keep it from sitting. Apparently it was too late for that. The remote start didnt work, electric starting with the key as usual didnt work. I'm guessing I'm doing something way wrong in kick starting it, because I assume that even if the battery was dead, I should still be able to kick start it.
Let me reiterate that I am almost completely scooter/moped/bike ignorant. I got only a very quick crash course on how things worked in the shop where I bought it.
I do know they put in a brand new battery, and I do remember them saying something about getting a charger or riding x amount of time every day to keep things in good running order. Clearly, I didnt take all that seriously enough to pay close enough attention. Damn.
So if anyone can help, let me know if they think anything is actually wrong with the scooter or not- or if i just have no idea how to kick start it.
Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Any advice relating directly to the Keeway F-act is even better.
Thanks
