I own one of these and have been very unhappy with both it and the customer service by x-treme scooters. A decent design and solidly constructed, but really poorly assembled. Mine had the front fender not mounted and badly welded mounting bracket, rear fender mounted incorrectly, no seat clamp, rack mounted poorly, handlebar inserts very loosely mounted, chain lengths inconsistent so that proper adjustement is not possible without removing links, and more. It is falsely advertised as: having drum brakes (they are cheap band brakes), tail light (there is only a brake light), 'comfort spring mounted seat' (rigid mounted, hard plastic base with minimal padding). X-treme Scooters has basically done nothing after 2 months, except send a wrong-sized seat clamp. They promised a lot over the phone, then delivered nothing. I also own a XB-508 which had no problems and has performed well. Too bad something didn't go wrong with it - I would have learned what a poor company Xtreme Scooters is. Look them up via the Iowa BBB before buying.

Xtreme makes some good electric scooters, but this is not one of them. Flimsy construction, cheap materials, not nearly as fast as advertised, feels unstable. Handlebars wiggle contributing to an overall sense of loss of control. Skip this one, and buy another from either them or a different manufacturer.

Perfect gift, right out of the box, for my 'big' 5 year old. He has been riding bikes and Razor scooters hard for awhile now and seems to acquired some helpful skills including very good coordination, steering, balance and respect for 'hitting the asphalt' -- I was confident he could handle this buggy. Rules of the pavement (and sometimes grass) at our house: adult supervision, limited distractions, helmet and seat belt. We have a long, paved driveway and live on a very lightly traveled culdesac -- it's perfect for us! Great quality too!

Initially we really liked the Dune Buggy. Then suddenly we had flat rear tires and a torn valve stem. The axle and rear wheels are a solid unit (meaning the wheels are not on their own rotating hub) and the inner tube valve stems come through the side of the plastic wheel. When you turn, your wheels need to rotate at different speeds, like in a car because the outside of the turn is larger than the inside. I believe this caused pressure/stress to be placed on the valve stem, causing them to deflate rapidly before anyone knew which then caused the valve stem on one wheel to tear off. Razor claims that it's my fault and the tires must not have been inflated properly even though I know they were at the recommended pressure. To their credit they are sending a new tire, but we are expecting the same problems. Be aware of the problem with the rear wheels/axle arrangement it could cause the same problem on other dune buggies.

This dune buggy was great for a short time. After about 6 months the battery quit charging and Razor tech support suggested replacing the battery. I was then made aware that the warranty for this car is only three months. At about $400 it is definitely not worth it.

bought this for my sons 9th bday. as soon as i took it out of the box he jumped for joy! he has been asking for a ride on since all the kids on my block have them (all younger). we finally found one that was for his age reasonably priced. he talked about it until he went to bed and could not wait to ride it. what i did nto tell him was the rear tire was no good and would not hold air so i went into another room and called. well no tires available, then they offered me an inner tube,,oops not available either. back ordered till end of july. they sadi take it back to the store but the store says you must go to the manufacturer. i get an email later in the evening saying my tires are shipping and should arrive within 7-10 days..wrong they made an error not until july 28. that is 1/2 my warranty time of the item sitting in my shed .in the meantime we charged the battery that only took 2 hours...no wonder the battery has been sitting too long and that is no good. seems like this is a major problem on all their items. I am already trying to get rid of this and get my money back. don't waste your time and money....

I landed this helmet in an XXL from Jafrum and couldn't be happier. Padding is well made and not the cheap crumbly foam found in older helmets.
<br />Chin strap has an elastic guard to catch the overflow of the strap, preventing a chin beating at high speeds. The look matches the finish on my black Piaggio LT150 scooter. Love this helmet! Price is right and DOT certified - can't lose!
